can anyone point me in the right direction of creditable stats which show that internet offenders rarely go on to contact offend?

also that many aren't attracted to children?

looks like partner will be unemployed soon (before it's even gone to court!) because of the companies opinion's on the 2 items mentioned above. They are obviously clueless and haven't done their research. Before this, I too would have thought that them.

I feel like I'm drowning. I will probably lose the house. I don't know what I should be doing. Is there any point working on a statement and facts or should we just accept they've made their minds up.

Hello Jayjay, so sorry to hear of your problems, opinions are so fixed on sex offences that everyone is believed to be a monster, which we all know is not the case.

It's not easy to read but this paper does cover some of what you're asking and has links to other related info. It also gives an insight into the systems used by probation to work out risk, which is useful!

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/348881362_Comparing_two_predictors_of_sexual_recidivism_the_Risk_Matrix_2000_and_the_OASys_Sexual_Reoffending_Predictor

There is more info if you Google oasys sexual reoffending predictor (OSP). If you manage to read through all the jargon, it becomes quite clear that online offences rarely develop into contact offences.

Hope this might help a bit, big hugs and fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Lee. I know right, it was like an Afterthought.
thats exactly what his work is trying to say and I have to say it is looking likely they will sack him soon, even before court.
Did you oh manage to find a new job and if so what kind of job?
