I'm new here, but not new to all this. It's been going on for years..since the first knock and now he's (son) reoffended and he is now in prison.

The hardest part for us right now is that it is in the papers and it is also the first we have learned the details of what he has done.

We feel that we have given him all the support we can in the past and we feel finished in regards to what we can or want to do now.

I have read some of your posts on here and they have been very helpful. My heart goes out to you all, as I know how devastating it is for the families.

My husband and I are at a loss of what to do next. The stress is debilitating.

Any help would be much appreciated.

He has called us and seems to be doing ok. It is still a rollercoaster of emotions.

Thinking about going to visit him but unable to do so at the moment and not sure if I want to start all that again. Also, have been very ill over the past year so really need to be thinking of myself first but it's so difficult.

I'm sure as time goes on it will get easier.

With regards to the press coverage, I agree with you. The first time it was an ex NOTw journalist who had started his own online newspaper who reported on it. Got photos from FB etc.

What a nightmare it has been and cannot believe we are here again but very grateful for this forum.
