My son is in crown today for sentencing. Been advised to take a bag for the worst outcome.

Can anyone tell me is he taken away from the court immediately or can I get a chance to see him again before he's taken to prison?

He is not coping with this at all and I'm so worried about his mental health. He talks suicide far too much. Saying at least if he's Not hear I'll not have to live with what he's done. I can't tell him enough how worse it will be if he's neve coming back.

I'm. Not sure I haven't git to tgat stage yet but just wanted to say my partner still talks like this sometimes, they don't understand how we can still love them but we know they are good people who made a mistake and everyone makes mistakes, every single person so tell him he's been punished enough and to stop punishing himself and move forward, don't let this define him, especially if young. My heart goes out to you today xx

Hello,

If he does receive a custodial he will be taken to the holding cells immediately and you won't see him.

Thinking of you all today and hoping for a fair outcome.

My ex is currently in prison. He is doing ok. Feels safe. Its obviously prison and not meant to be easy but better than he imagined!

Xxx

Thankyou for your replies Lady's.

I had a feeling I wouldn't see him but was hanging on to a tiny bit of hope!

Terrified for the outcome of today and what's still to come.....

Well my son can sleep in his own bed tonight.

My son had 5 charges against him of 'making' cat A, B and C. Moving pictures and extreme.

The prosecution tried to get him for distribution but the judge dismissed it as there was no evidence that he shared. Even though they argued that he 'might'.

At first he was looking at 18 month immediate custody. But as he pled guilty at his first arrest 2½ years ago and has taken steps to get help over this time he ended up with 3 years probation and community service. He is on notification and SHPO for 5 years.

He must complete some programs with probation.

Following advice on here I contacted the solicitor about character reference and thankfully the judge took my comments into consideration.

I really hope everyone else gets a happy outcome and we can all start to rebuild our lives again.

Baby steps for you both , glad he's home.

For you it's just the start , I'm the same . We are now 8 months post sentencing , he's lost his part time job but can finish his college course on line . I still worry every day if its getting too much for him, he doesn't go out and has self harmed before.
The sentencing was for us as well as him
