The police who arrested my other half sent a letter to the prison for him to say the devices they took can now be collected. They haven't said which ones but I thought devices which have things on them get destroyed is that true?
But kill me now I've got to go and collect them and face the p**** that arrested him twice (arrogant piece of work) xx

I can't deal with seeing him I'd end up saying something. I know he was doing his job but it's what he asked my kids is to why I'm fuming with him. The judge told him to surrender all devices at court the other day which he did but now I've got to collect them. I'm going to ring them Tuesday and see if someone can drop them off to me. Lee- the appeal board have all the evidence they need now for the appeal which has been approved. It's going to the first judge now so fingers crossed he approves it then it has to go to the judges which will make the decision. Such a long process.
Hope your both ok xx

My ex never got his phone or ipad back. His dad rang up a few times to speak to the officer in charge and got fobbed or told he'd get phoned back but never did. Do these devices get destroyed when they've found what they're looking for? Also get this at the time of arrest a copper took off my partners practically brand new iwatch threw it in the back of the police car and said u won't be needing that! that watch disappeared off face of the earth!!

Don't worry daffodil I knew what you meant :) xx

flossy no way did they do that!! They just don't care do they. I thought everything got destroyed tbh. There was a laptop which was mine but had stuff on it (which I'm so angry about) so I don't even think I want it back tbh xx

Thanks lee I did get a sheet actually when the 2 police ladies had searched our house they took an old phone of his an iPad and couple of other items I signed for them but was in such a state could have signed for anything. Doubt they'd have been anything on those items though because he didn't use them and the chat he'd had with the police decoy was on the new mobile he was using. They'd already arrested him before they visited house so god knows what happened to phone he had on him and the iwatch!! Anyway too much time has passed since then I think I was just infuriated that when his dad kept ringing up he never got anywhere.

When the police took all devices they checked before they left what belonged to me and left them behind, despite them searching through drawers, cupboards etc my husband actually told them there were other devices and SIM cards they had missed in their farcical search. They actually only found images on one device which they said would be destroyed. 12 months later he received a letter telling him to go to another police station to collect his property and to take ID with him, non of the officers at the time of the search were there, maybe you could ask a senior officer to arrange an alternative location for collection. You shouldn't have to endure any more trauma. Xx

When they came and searched the house they even took phones that wer in the draw broken. I told them they don't work but they still took them watch it be them I'm getting back, if it is they will be chucked straight at their heads for making me waste my time haha. I signed forms I think when they wer there (I was in such a state I can't actually remember) they even tried taking all my kids devices xx

Omg even a note book lee that's ridiculous isn't it. Yes go in all guns blazing. The thing is if they gave things back then you wouldn't have to keep going on at them so it's their fault haha xx

We never got any of our devices back. I know they say anything with illegal content will be destroyed, however of the devices seized included our sons Apple laptop which he got for Christmas and managed to drop down the stairs literally 15 minutes after opening. It was unusable after he dropped it so I had planned to take it to the apple store to get it repaired but we had the knock 10 days later so I never got around to it. I know the only person who used that laptop was my son, and he literally only switched it on before he ran upstairs with it, so I know that all of the devices DID NOT have illegal images on. Another thing that they destroyed always a flash drive with my MSc project on. The flash drive was encrypted so that I could use it at work. My husband could not have accessed this. Yet everything removed from our home was destroyed post crown court???? I think it depends on the area your in if you get things back xx
