Morning everyone I have spent a sleepless night in tears today was meant to be the next step for my son to go to crown court to ask for his pre sentence report and one step closer to what we be facing spoke to solicitors pa as was told to do that at 5pm for time of court appearance only to be told he wasn't on list and the only date she has is 30th May, three weeks ago there was a mix up at the prison and he missed his court appearance. Spoke to my son last night and he was in tears his MH is so low he is living in fear as he has been attacked twice already he is locked up 24/7 as he doesn't go out for his 1/2 hour slot as he fears what is going to happen I know these delays happen but the pain we feel when it happens I am waiting to hear from his solicitor to hear what happened about him not being on the list he refused bail as it was thought it would be better for his case for a suppended sentence now don't know what to do xxx

Hi Livuk1963

This is the worst part waiting then get set for the next stage for court to be told its cancelled or not on the list, this happened to my son who has been on remand for 8 months we had his sentancing last week :-(

Can I ask if your son is on a VP wing? Also has he been given any support from the prison? My son was put in what they call an Act because he like your son was struggling so much he has been off it now for a few weeks but it is a daily worry for me about his mental health xx

Sending hugs xx

Many thanks ladies for your kind words and support

My son has moved wings due to the attack but not on a vulnerable wing think is due to him being on remand?? He is trying to keep his head down and keep his offence a secret. He sees someone every week from the MH team and they are aware of his mental health which is good and they have his history of his break down and trying to take his own life. I speak to him daily 3/4 times and try and be upbeat and positive just had news from his solicitor PA pre sentence report has been requested fingers crossed it done before the 30th on sentencing day xxx

Hi hun

It's good he has MH support x I guess it depends on the remand prison your son is in my son is in a remand prison also but they do have a VP wing

It's good he speaks to you often but trying to remain positive when they are struggling can be really difficult so please ensure you are looking after yourself to x easier said than don I know xx

You will always have support from here so never feel like you are alone because you are not xx
