So some of you were following my case and I kind of stopped coming on here after my husband was sent to prison due to one communication with a decoy.

He has been gone 9 months now, been moved to a prison 100 miles away. However, he has been supported by OMU inside and they assessed him and decided he did not meet the threshold for any of the courses and that all he had to do was some paperwork with his OM.

His OM has now put him forward for CAT D which means he will hopefully move back this way.

I am trying to look forward to the future. He will be home in April, if he goes to Cat D he will come straight home which is great news.

I'm trying to think of jobs that he can do when he comes home, I think it is going to be very difficult.

I'm worried about VISOR making visits due to my PTSD it's scary.

We always wanted three children but we now believe this is firmly out the window as I wouldn't want him not to be able to visit on ward after baby born.

Hey NotSureWhereToGo,

I've just been back to read your story as it is similar to the charges my partner faces. I'm glad you are working through it and almost out the other side. Nobody deserves to go through this! Lots of love xx

That's good news re Cat D - Do you know if he'll be able to come home and visit whilst in Cat D? I read some can.

We are very early into him serving his sentence, only a month in of a 40 month sentence, he's to server 20. Are you able to explain the routes to leaving prison, you mentioned this was different for Cat D? Was he always due to come out in April?

I've been feeling really sad lately about the devastating impact this will have on his life.

I too wonder what my partner will do once he's out. I've been wracking my brains for jobs he could do. There is some stuff on the Unlock website about employment after, but not sure if there is more help you call them.

I'm a bit miffed that someone could be sent to prison for such a long time with no rehabilitation being completed inside. Makes me so angry.
