Looking for some advice before our next SS meeting.

For info, we are on CIN plan and OH SHPO has NO restrictions regarding contact with children just around internet access/ devices.

We have complied with everything asked of us by SS despite several changes in our case worker with differing opinions and constantly changing their mind on what we need to do to move forward.

we are now at the stage where oh is allowed home over the weekend and they have said this will gradually increase to full time and they will then close our case.

but the safety plan we are following still means no unsupervised contact with the children and I am wondering how/ when they might change this?

obviously we want them to close our case but we also want in the future to have more freedom around the childrens supervision, even if I could pop to the shops without having to drag the children with me.

if they close the case am I right to assume that is with the current supervision in place?

Hi,

I am interested in this as ss have closed our case, and we have restrictions in place, I.e no unsupervised with our youngest, he is allowed to stay over but again no unsupervised, we have a safety plan in place and we were told that if we do want to live together in the future we have to ring up to be reassessed, my hubby has no restrictions regarding children other than if he is with them longer than 12 hours, but that doesn't include our child as my address is registered for him to be there if that makes sense

Hi Lee,

Sorry I probably didn't make a lot of sense love, I thought it was the shop, but we are covered because his visor said that that rule doesn't count because my address is registered.

Thanks for all your responses.

I am going to contact FRG tomorrow so I have all the information ready for our meeting next week.

I obviously want the case closed but see no point if it's still supervised contact as that can't last forever so would rather keep it open and find a way to work towards that.

We are still CIN at the moment with safety plan and supervised contact only.

SW Told us once sentenced they will close case and it will then be up to me to use my initiative to make decisions about contact and whether he comes home or not. They advise to keep up the safety plan regardless of what happens, but once they close case it will stay closed unless another referral comes in. This is also because the oic and solicitor have both said the SHPO shouldn't have an contact restrictions on, only internet x
