I'm now 38 months in from "the knock". I am still waiting for my ex partner to go to court. It has been pushed back twice now and due in court next week. Witness care call on Friday to say there is no judge or court available next week at the moment to hear the case, if they can't find what's needed next week they will postpone again and it may be another 6 to 12 months.
Mentally it's destroying me, I have re built my life, i have tried to move on. This is just sitting in the back of my mind all the time, just when I think its finally going to be over for the 3rd time, it might get pushed back again! I have made myself ill for the last week panicking and suffering attacks and just destructive behaviour which I cant seem to stop just bracing myself for facing the person who destroyed me in court, and then had the ordasity to try and add doubt that I could have used his devices! Is this really how long it takes to resolve these cases? The guilt I feel each day having let him be with my children just kills me.
Talking therapy won't see me until after the case due to making me potentially an unreliable witness. Just feels so very lonely and draining

I'm so sorry that you have being going through this for so long. I completely understand the feelings of guilt but you didn't do anything wrong. There are some forms of hypnotherapy that help to work through trauma without the need to talk about it. I'm not sure if it's allowed but I found a hypnotherapist called Glen Mitchell on Facebook, unsure if he is on any other platforms but I would think he is. Sessions done via zoom so it doesn't matter what area you live in. I hope this helps and that the case is dealt with soon so you can access the support you need. Sending love xx

He was arrested in the April 2019 and charged in October 2019 xx
