Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone from this wonderful community has any therapist recommendations for partners. I've always been quite scared to go to therapy but now after this knock realising I need this (someone to talk to about other aspects of my life too, but figure someone who has background in this area would be better for understanding where I'm at too. And less judgement?)

I'm going to contact Stop So as they recommended one for my partner but thought I'd ask in case anyone had personally had someone great. Probably would be online not in person.

thank you in advance xxx

Hi,

I used someone called Glen Mitchell. He is a hypnotherapist, doesn't specialise in this area but was amazing with me. I found him on Facebook but I presume he's on other platforms too. All sessions are online via zoom. Sending love xx

Thank you for the responses I will check those out. Indeed Lee, I'm quite conscious that someone not really understanding the situation will do more harm!

Taster session sounds great. I will do my research. Thanks and appreciate it. Love to you all xx

I actually see a stopso therapist myself. She has experience with families of the offenders too and honestly she is amazing for me.
Id say definitely worth asking if there's someone who you can talk to too.
ive been to numerous other therapists in my life (pre-knock) and nothing worked for me. I don't know if it's the total non judgemental side of it or what, but i honestly look forward to my sessions. Xx
