Was wondering do judges take into account the probation reports or completely dismiss it.

All depends on the judge, they should take it into consideration but some don't. X

As others have said it really is down to the judge
We were very lucky not with what sentance he got but the judge was extremely knowledgeable in my sons case and wanted it noted that she had read his PSR, references from myself and his sister and also his therapist report so for that I am grateful xx
