Community Rehabilitation Order

Does anyone know what a Community Rehabiliation Order (CRO) - previously known as a Probation Order, is and what does it include?
My brother was sentenced Friday and given a CRO for 15 months, I have looked online but cannot find anything in real detail.
Its not unpaid community service, I know that much, but I hope that its going to really benefit my brother going forward or whats the point. He doesnt have the funds, nor to we sadly to paid for expensive therapy. My brother really need help with his Mental Health but the waiting lists are so long in our area and he hasnt yet took the step to ask for help or be referred (I know he needs to be proactive in this but he says he has had too much going on to think about that too)

I'm not sure what was specified, I will ask but thank you for your response.
He met with PO yesterday, only there for half hour and was mainly form filling. So we will see what next week brings.
