He got moved finally! why do I feel relieved he has spent 8 months in a remand prison (it was shocking)

So this evening he will be in a SO prison he was told it would be one that was only 50 mins away but today he was told he was going somewhere else yes it's over 2 hrs away and he is worried he wont see me and his sister hardly we were visiting 3 times a month on remand but I told him we will still get our 3 visits a month, he is mum it will be a 6 /7 hour trip, traffic and wear and tear on the car so he is worried, but I will travel as far as I need to just to see him xx

He wont have a phone in his cell so wont be able to call as much as he does but we will be there however we can xx

Hi Upset. Please be releaved - he'll feel much safer there I say with hand on heart. As you know my boy has been in 3 SO prisons and insists he's been ok with respectful staff.

It's a pain your son is so far away and the phone situation etc, but you'll get into a routine. Again u know I haven't visited my son in prison but I hang on to where we are now, far from perfect but could have been a hell lot worse.

I bet you've been stressed, each time a move happens I get in a right state, worrying if he'll settle. So I'll send you a hug x

More than likely but he phoned 3 times today one because he was down as thought he was been moved not to fsr away , 2nd time to say he was packed and ready and the 3rd time to say he wasnt sure how long it would be before he could call us and to say how much he loved us it broke me but as I said as soon as I can be there I will be xx

Day one done xx

That is one of my favourite films and Smile i have no idea what you son looks like but I can imagine the smile on his face letting loose with the hose pipe x

Just these small tasks we would never bat an eyelid at but how much they mean on this journey xx

At least you've not got to jump on a ferry to see your boy!!!

lots of tales about his new friends / seagulls!

I'm just hoping (although a long way) he'll stay there and be allowed to settle then move closer towards the end of his time.

He's had too many moves now. But you're always at their mercy and a change can happen any time.... fingers crossed.

keep in touch, I'm sure your lad will begin to settle over the next few days.

Upset, so pleased to hear that your son has finally moved - really hope he can finally settle. As always, you sound so positive :-)

Smile, love hearing about your son with the hosepipe! Hope he's doing OK.
