The Tower

Hi lovely ladies
I wanted to say something and it will sound a bit daft but it's given me a lot of comfort since we had the knock in December (and doesn't it feel like this whole experience is surreal sometimes)
I know some people who read this might laugh and roll their eyes and that's totally ok but if it gives comfort to even one person then it's worth it.
So I personally get great comfort from Tarot readings. A lot of people fear The Death Card the most in Tarot, it sounds scary and the card looks scary but that card represents an ending in our lives. The death of something to make way for something else.
BUT the card I keep getting in readings is The Tower Card. Again another scary looking card.
If you Google The Tower Card you can see there is a storm and the tower has been hit by a sudden bolt of lightening and now the tower is on fire and falling down. Everyone inside is terrified and in chaos. This card represents our lives. Our relationships/homes/families/beliefs etc.
The foundations of the tower were unstable and now everyone and everything in the Tower must come crashing down. The people who lived in the tower didn't realise how shaky it was. The card represents huge sudden drastic change in our lives. And change is scary for a while. It is the crisis card. And I think we can all relate to that here.
After my husband was arrested, he then lost his job so we had to sell our home (our own little tower). We were and still are in a crisis and every part of life as we knew it crumbled to pieces.
I have to keep reminding myself that after the dust has settled the next tower in my life will be built on solid ground. It will be a sturdy structure and everyone in it will eventually be happy. We will learn how to build a better tower even if some people might not return to it. And it might even surprise us who turns up to help build again.
When it collapsed the people in the tower were at rock bottom but will claw their way back to the top in their lives. It's a very powerful card. Complete transformation after devastation.
The people in the new tower will be stronger, wiser and better prepared for whatever life throws at them in the future.
I really believe everyone of us on this journey are experiencing a tower moment. Stay strong and keep your chin looking up to how high your new tower will stand xxx

Christmas Chaos
No laughing or eye rolling here what ever brings you some comfort in the horrendous journey we all find a way to seek comfort etc
I truly believe how you have so elegantly poured your feelings out in relation to the death card and the tower does indeed reflect on how most of us feel
Keep seeking the comfort in your tarot cards if that is how you process your journey and thank you for sharing
Hugs xx

I found your story VERY interesting Christmas - I'm always interested in new ideas and yes the rebuilding of the tower - so true, the towers we rebuild will be different with changes but (hopefully) stronger. That resignates.
I read my horoscopes (and Husbands) daily, and I know you can interpret them a million ways but I do find it's helps calm my anxiety (most days)
I do free online tarot every now and again so totally understand your views. I keep getting the death card about the future which I know can just mean an ending of something and it makes me sad as at the minute I can only see that meaning the end of my marriage as of he is jailed that would be the outcome (at least for a while to protect myself and my boys from backlash)
I do also keep getting the high priestess though so I also know that I am strong enough to overcome whatever is thrown my way, it just doesn't airways feel that way at the moment.
I think whatever gives us strength and the will to carry on fighting is good for us, no matter what that is x

NMS try not to be sad. I think the only "bad" card in the tarot is The Tower Card because in the past and present position it represents sudden devastation in our lives. Even a "bad" card forces positivity in our lives and puts us on the correct path. If the tower was in perfect condition then a sudden bolt of lightening wouldn't have caused it to crumble. It tells us something had to happen, it couldn't stand forever with its shaky foundations. They say its divine intervention. In the future position it is a huge warning card telling us there could be a catastrophe such as divorce if we continue on the path we've chosen and not make big changes for a better outcome. It is a very powerful card no matter where in the spread it appears.
However I would look at The Death Card as quite a positive card. I associate it with renewal/rebirth. Its similar to the tower as in it represents a change has occurred or will occur. But the tower is crisis, its scary, its sudden, it affects every part of our lives. I really like The Death Card. Its the ending of something in our lives to make room for something better. So it could represent the end of a very difficult time in your life or marriage, you could look at it like a renewal in your relationship with your partner in the future position. The death of toxic behaviour/addiction/deceit etc, making way for something much better xxx

This gave me so much comfort. Thank you for sharing ."x
Ah thank you for sharing your views it has helped to read that today x
I just wanted to pop a note to say the optimistic in me believes in this idea - It gives me hope, which is something I think many of us need. I know others on here have said whilst life is different now, it is in some ways better and that the foundation and their relationship is stronger. This is what I hope for, I hope that my person will come out if this a stronger, more confident and peaceful person. If we are lucky, perhaps we'll both come out that way and also be a couple again.
Whilst I'm not into Tarot Cards, what you've said about the tower does give me hope. We're only 2 months since the knock and are expecting my partner will lose his job and career. I don't work outside the home so not knowing how we're going to survive is terrifying, never mind what the outcome of future charges will be.
Thanks ladies for the responses. I'm so glad it's given some people hope. Remember chin always looking up to a stronger tower in the future xxx
Hope everyone is doing ok on this journey. I don't post much but read everyone's posts here at night. We are nearing the end. After 9 months my husbands plea hearing is next week, which is quick compared to others. Come what may, can't run away from it. Xx
Your post was fascinating & thought provoking whilst giving a sense of hope. Sending strength x
