Afternoon all,

Hope you are all keeping well x

So today is the second anniversary of the Knock

06.30 am getting ready for work and the door bell goes, I think god who is delivering a parcel at this time , the dog is barking her head off I open the door and there is an officer stepping in to my house followed by another 6 officers we have a warrant he says my sons name that's all I hear

Fast forward 15 hrs they bring my son home he is just raw with emotions so are we

We talk he tells me what's going on , gutted

The next 16 months is spent in a complete numbness he is RUI but i have the added worry that each day passes is today going to be the day he takes his own life! He has a therapist it does him good, he addresses his behaviour that lead him on this horrendous journey all I worry about is will he get through this

Then we keep been told we will have an outcome soon Yep you all know that one!

Then it happens again same time bit only 3 officers, we have new evidence so off he goes again bit this time he dosent get to come home bail denied this has to be the worst call I have received at 4am him telling me he has to go court in the morning but mum I will try my best so i can come home! Heartbreaking, he dosent come home we have no idea where he is then 4 days later we find out where he is on remand!

Move forward again his court date is cancelled twice we get to know at 5pm the day before so all the anxiety, nerves are at an all time high, I get to tell my son court is not on then have to try to comfort him, court comes I go and sit there while the prosecution go for his jugular, the judge was so good, back to shitty remand it has been horrendous there , a week later the media hit what he did was wrong but how it was twisted, I am over that now and we have had no repercussions and those that found out have been kind , He lost his best friends but I hang on to the hope they will in time be there for him but it's there choice

He has finally been move yes it is a bit of a drive over 2 hrs but we will visit him as we did in remand

My daughter has been my absolute rock but I have seen the pain she has been through but she is also walking this journey with her brother I could not be more proud of her so I am extremely lucky x

I found this forum and read a lot of post before I could bring myself to post anything

This group has given me the strength to keep going , advise I would not have had a clue about but most importantly to know I have met some truly amazing friends even though we dont know each other we all have the same thing in common, Smile I thank you for your continued support, Lee1969 you should really consider been an ambassador you strength and knowledge gives us all hope x

So many of you I could mention so thank you

Of course there are still victims in all of this and I am truly sorry as is my son for the damage he caused

I have worries about the future but it is out of my control

I am still here and still strong at times I wasnt sure I would be but I am, I hold my head up because I have done nothing wrong!

My son is still here so I am grateful xx

Thank you to you all you truly are amazing and I am not sure what I would do without you xx

How is your son doing Upset?

mine is fine - managed to get out twice last week. They got a note yest saying they were 'short staffed' again - so not sure what that means for this week!

He's well chuffed with his new radio.....(always loved his music), .said he's been singing/no wonder there's a change of weather!!!!!

enjoy your day and what's left of the weekend everyone x

Upset Mum, it's absolutely heartbreaking reading about the last two years but your strength is so inspirational. Thank you for brightening these forums and being positive, even when your own situation is so tough xx

Morning Smile,

He is ok at the moment the calls last 7 mins lol we have to speed talk then he waits 3 mins and can call back this is due to the covid restrictions, hopefully this will change soon and no phone is his room but we still get to talk x

He was out from 9 until lunchtime then locked up for an hour but then back out this in itself is a huge change from been locked up 23 hrs in remand

It seems a decent place ( as well as can be for a prison)

Hope your son is ok and he gets to go work more frequently xx and happy to hear he has a radio now he can sing his heart out xx

Morning Chelsea1

I'm sorry it wasnt meant to cause you to cry that is certainly one thing we all share tears and emotions xx

Hope you are doing ok and your hubby is ok x

No matter how difficult this journey is we all survive and we rebuild

With court looming you will be on edge as it is the uncertainty that we dont know the outcome but honestly this is one part that needs to happen because at least you will both know the outcome as many say prepare for the worst and then what ever happens will x

You are stronger than you can ever know and you will survive, we all do because we are strong and never let anyone or anything take that away from you xx

Hi Upset -- I'm SO glad to hear your son is getting long spells out his 'room', honestly it makes such a difference. Then he'll get more chance to mix with the others.

As I said you'll get use to a phone routine x is he sharing?

No he has his own small cell, it has a sink and his own toilet , he said out of the window he can see the entrance and gardens and the sun shines through in the afternoon, he has met up with a few guys he knew from remand and the officers are really decent, he said just been outside makes him feel so much better xx

Upset - so happy to read this, it's sounds he is much more relaxed..... Ok he's further away and the phone times are more inconvenient but if his time is more tolerable that really is the main thing.
