Good evening Ladies.

So me and hubby where out walking enjoy food etc.

And he brought it up by saying , been on SOR for 3 weeks and nothing has changed.

My comment from that is that we have the court case to get through and my gut feeling is a suspended sentence then every 3-6 visor team and then we will rebuild and be better future.

Is that correct ???

Hiya Lee.

Sorry hun. How's you this evening ?

No was just saying me and hubby was out and he said it's strange he's been on SOR for 3 weeks and nothings happened.

He was asking what other changes will happen and all I said see what happens at crown and then visits from visor every so often.

is this correct ?

What do probation do on a weekly service then if it goes to a suspended sentence.

His solicitor have said if we play our cards right then we are going for a suspended sentence and probation have said they are putting forward a community order with added extras.

Like yourselves and others have said depends on the judge on the day. But my get feeling tells me and I always go by it says suspended.

How you greeting on hun. ???

Hi Chelsea,

I just wanted to back up what Lee said really about being prepared for the worst. Much like yours, Our solicitor kept saying my partner would get a suspended sentence and probation recomend a community order but on the day he received a 20 month prison sentence. We were both totally unprepared for this and it distroyed me. I don't want to worry you but I do want you to know what to expect. I really hope you get the outcome you want on the day x x

Amilia121 this seems quite voyeuristic and maybe insensitive, but there seem to be so few people with prison sentences (although increasing) on this forum, I find it helpful to see others peoples posts re custodial so as I can prepare and understand how the journey might play out and what to expect. It must have come as such a terrible shock to you, we were always expecting custodial and I'm quite grateful for that. My partner /ex is 5 weeks into a 40 month sentence (20 in prison). How are along the journey are you? Is that a 20 month sentence (10 inside)? As always, obviously only if you want to share. This is such a hard and delicate journey and custodial comes with some much more to deal with and navigate.

Sorry for taking over the original post

Hi sal

Not insensitive at all I totally understand where you are coming from, I'm really glad you knew what to expect from court. Its hard to put into words how awful that time was I just couldn't understand how they had got it so wrong (2 solicitors and probation) or at least said to prepare for a sentence as you never know. Most of all I felt incredibly guilty at not properly preparing my daughter for the loss of her dad. She was 5 when he was sentenced. I thought if he was going to get a suspended sentence I didn't want to worry her for nothing.

Yes he has to serve 10 inside and was sentenced in October so will be released in August.

5 weeks in, I imagine your still adjusting to him being gone. It's a really tough time at the beginning. Always her if you need to chat or to answer any questions x x

Chelsea

I'm struggling to fully remember the exact charges but I think there were 9 charges

1 was category A

The rest were b and c

But as others have said you can torture yourself thinking about it. It will be down to the judge on the day x x
