Does anyone know the answer to my question?

I read that you could not have the shpo if you were not on the sor is this correct? As most people will have been on the sor for a little while before they are given their shpo this surly means that the sor will expire before the shpo. So really the timeframe of you being on it (10years) for both in our case will go by the date you registered on the sor, or will your registration be extended to the give the full 10 years of the shpo.

I hope I made sense but this has been bugging me for a while x

SHPO automatically means you are subject to SOR notification requirements. So you cannot come off the SOR while there is still a SHPO in place even if you first signed the SOR before the SHPO was given.
