Nothing happened between signing the register and sentencing for my person, I'm not sure if this was because it was expected that it would be custodial, therefore deemed perhaps pointless.
I don't think there is a hard and fast rule on when you might expect a first visit. Some people get one pretty quickly and others not for weeks. So, just with everything else, it depends. It could also be possible that they attempt to visit when you are out and you would never know.
The police have never written down the serial numbers of devices in our house. But then, my husbands SHPO doesn't say, must inform police of any new devices.
