Hiya Ladies.

Just wondering what to pack for a prison bag ?

Solicitor, probation and concelling have said either suspended or community service but cannot rule out prison in some cases. Gut feeling tells me first two but never know.

Hi Chelsea

Take a look at this site,

https://latcharity.org.uk/resources/can-take-prison/

Hope this helps, and that everything goes OK.

You might find this thread useful

https://get-help.stopitnow.org.uk/family-and-friends/family-and-friends-forum/topic/3251#reply22835.

You might also want to take time to get his personal affairs on order, things like bills, standing orders, accounts and passwords.

Hi Chelsea

How are yous holding up? When is crown?

I've been looking into the same and apart from list of numbers (pref memorised) money, underwear, shorts, T-shirts, a hoody and jeans there seems to be no point in much else initially as lots get confiscated, have you found the same? Oh Grey not black clothes.

Magistrates for us next week x

I'm coming to this late, but JayJay might also be interested.

We were recommended to pack flip flops or something similar for use in the shower (apparently shared ones are not nice).

My person purchased quite a few specific things and we split it, he took half and I took half with me to send in. It seems to vary what happens from prison to prison so we hedged our bets.

I was really surprised that he was allowed the books he packed, but he wasn't allowed the paper. He was surprisingly allowed his battery powered radio, but not his CD player or the headphones.

A towel would be a handy thing to pack too - We've yet to be able to get one to him ( I sent one in after, but it didn't get to him). I also sent him a thin waterproof jacket so he can go out in the yard regardless of weather. I also ended up sending him trainers as he wasn't allowed the ones he wore to court and the prison issue shoes fell to pieces quite quickly. Oh and some gym/workout clothes.

I'm our experience he was allowed some of the stuff he took and we were allowed to send a parcel within the first 28 days, but not all of that got through.

All the best for tomorrow.
