Magistrates version 2

Hi,
Magistrates bfor sentencing next week... Any advice on it.
It's an early morning session and I am hoping that because my partner wasn't in the papers first time around and there's a heck ton of horrible news worthy stuff going on around here, he won't make the papers.
As a reminder, his charges are 3 counts of 'making', possession, C / C and a B.
No As, no distribution.
Admitted guilt in the station without a solicitor present.

Thanks ladies. What I thought would be 20 mins turned into hours .... solicitor wasn't happy with evidence and paperwork and asked for clarification. Then asked if it could be dealt with at magistrates due to low number of images, work on himself and immaculate work and home life previously. They agreed. Introduced to probation officer who seems lovely and sentencing in magistrates in a few weeks once PSR is done. Tough and emotional day but the end is in sight x
Oh and I don't know if anyone can vouch for they but there was no media in court and solicitor seems to think that if they aren't in the court room at magistrates then they aren't allowed to report on it? Crown may be different but just wondering if anyone has experience with this?

Was ment to have 2nd interview today to find out but the police officer is taking a days holiday eveen though she booked this date . So emotional today can't hold my tears in . Now have to wait again and again there always messing xxx

I'm so glad it could be dealth with in Magistrates only... Very similar to us.

We'll only be in magistrates as well. And I too thought it would only be 30 minuets but turned out to be hours as well.
Pre sentence report is a good thing. If your partner has any instance of trauma, especially sexual trauma this is now the time to mention it if it's not already been recorded.
The officer my partner spoke to me toned that his instance was quite similar to his crime in a roundabout way...

As for media... In the South east I have heard of instances of media in court in magistrates yes but I think in my experience they only record the more serious crimes and also those who have had their case wrapped up.

the prosecutor read out descriptions of the worst images which I cannot get out of my head. It made us feel ill. Oh says he cannot recall seeing them but is unsure if he's blocked them out, has opened it and closed it immediately or not. He has been honest from day 1 of the knock so I see no reason why he would lie but it's still in the back of my mind. He's sat and cried since as he says he can tell I think differently about him now I've heard eveidence. I don't know what to think.
He has no history of abuse but factors include no friends, social life, using legal porn - boredom and stumbled across these images On Twitter. I don't believe he went looking for them initially but obviously went back to them and became desensitised to adult images.
I am going to do the inform course for family members but I still don't know whether I will stay with him or not x
