Hello lovelies,

He is being charged on Tues. I'm still unsure what for. Timescale wise, what am I looking at please?

This must come with mixed feelings.

Typically if he pleads guilty then you'll be looking at 1 to 2 months to magistrates. And then similar to Crown Courts.

Depending on what he's charged with, the evidence that is provided and whether or not he decides to pleads guilty then the timeframes above will vary and they of course vary from location to location. He maybe charged and then feel he wants to see more evidence, this adds to the time it will take to get to through the stages. If he decides to go not guilty the time lines and routes are much more varied.

The other thing that may impact timescale is if he's added to the warned list for Crown Court.

As always, thank you so much for your replies. What is the warned list? He is pleading guilty so we will see what happens.

The warned list is a list of cases that may be seen over a 2 week period. You find out whether you'll be seen at the end of the day before. There is a chance that you may not be seen during those 2 weeks. If you aren't, you'll be given a different date.

Fingers crossed you aren't in the warned list - I find this aspect of the process incredibly cruel, particular on the innocent partners and families that are impacted so much by the uncertainty.

Easier said than done, but try not to worry about it now. It doesn't seem to happen often, but I have seen it a few times. There doesn't seem to be any rhymn or reason as to who goes on it
