My ex was sentenced in March (animals not iioc). Visor contacted him end of May but he missed the call. He tried to contact back but no reply as of yet. He has his own place but he's rarely in (walks a lot/plays sports). His probation have visited his flat and he sees them weekly, but he's worried about visor.

What happens now?

Thank you

My husband asked probation what would happen if he wasn't in when the visor team tried to visit. He was told if they tried a few times and you weren't in they would contact the probation team, they may also try to call.

Provided that you aren't refusing to answer the door and they know that is what you are doing, you cannot be blamed for being out. They will want to ensure you are living where you say you are, they haven't visited at all, but you say probation have already been to visit anyway.

If he's concerned tell him to discuss it with probation on his next meeting with them. Probation and the visor team are in regular contact and they may have already discussed not being able to make contact.

The whole point is they make unannounced visits, so they know you may not be in when they do.

hope that helps

Hiya Brokendreams.

We are through the other side now. Visor team popped around 10 days after sentencing and we couldn't let them in as hubby was isolating due to covid. They left the number which he then texted them straight away. Had the visit as planned on the Friday and Monday just gone had his first probation chat.

Hiya.

My sons dad is 4 months post court. He was sentenced for extreme porn (animals).

He had a missed call from visor beginning of June. He called back they didn't answer.

He has been seeing probation every week though.

He doesn't spend much time indoors as he's only got a small bedsit in a shared home. No TV. No electronics. Nothing. He sleeps there but he spends most his days out and about.

Is this going to look bad on him? Or do visor go to probation first? As I've read they work together.

Thanks.
