Advice please re brother and my boys

My brother has been to his plea hearing and pleaded guilty.
He was arrested back in September for engaging in conversation with a child on the internet. Back then I was contacted by social services as my brother lives with my parents, my brother gave my childrens names as children he has contact with, only when they visit and they rarely saw him unless they were having a sleepover due to him working etc. Anyway, SS contacted me and asked if I was aware of the case and how I was proceeding, I advised that we had decided to stop going to my parents house and the children won't be having contact with their uncle. They agreed and said that should I change my mind they would have to do a risk assessment.
Fast forward to now, my brother contacted me yesterday and was extremely vague, he said he needed to pass my details onto the police so they could contact me about the case. His court date has been set for July and he has his presentancing report in the morning. Why would this be? I don't understand why my children have been brought up as everything I read is if they live with the person or have more than 12 hours contact. This isn't the case for my children at all!
please help? Am I worrying about nothing?

So the DC Called me today and she just wanted to know if I knew about the case and check we were doing everything to safeguard our children. She explained that the children cannot have any contact with him and if they do it would be a referral to ss. This is because he lives with my parents.
has anyone changed their mind and decided that they would like them to have contact?
