Hi so after 19 months it's finally coming to an end, my son has his outcome in less than 2 weeks and has his pre sentence report next week, they have said it will be 1-2 hour phone call, can anyone tell me the questions they ask so I can prepare my son

thanks

Sorry sadmum,

When our son had his PSR, it was during lockdown and he was by himself in his house so I've no real idea what was discussed.

I do know that he talked about the rehabilitation work he'd been doing and his family background as well as his health issues but not much more than that.

Hugs to you, this is a worrying time xxx

I'm sure it's everything from family history, jobs, how and why you did what you did, work you have been doing, rehab, any mitigating factors, support, likihood of reoffending x

Hi .

Our solicitor requested that we put together a timeline of events from north up until the present highlighting significant factors which could be viewed as mitigation and including any courses, therapy etc as this would form part of the PSR.

We have sentencing next week and are still waiting to hear from probation.

Hi Kt,

The phone call being talked about is with the Probation Service to allow them to prepare a Pre Sentence Report (PSR).

It normally takes place between the plea hearing at magistrate's and sentencing at either magistrate's or crown court, if a guilty plea is made.

It can be either a phone call or a face to face meeting at a probation office.

Hope this helps xx
