Our case is moving on rapidly. Arrest to checking all devices and second interview all within two months. Now with CPS. I do not want my address to be used on any court documents in an attempt to minimize community awareness/vigilantes. Solicitor has said that family home address must be used for court documents and the SHPO. This seems nonsensical to me given that partner/ex is BANNED from staying at our home. So it's no longer his address. I'd be happy to use 'no fixed abode' which seems genuine given that he's hopping between AirBnBs etc. Any insights welcome.

Hi Lee, thanks. By 'banned', I mean that bail conditions are that he cannot stay at the family home. So it's not his address. Yes, I had already thought of using whatever temporary address he's in at the time - although would hate to think of other residents feeling the backlash...

The address was read in court as to where the arrest took place, in my person's case. Tho it never went to the media, it is pot luck tho.

As advised check with unlock. But also request your ex has the solicitor check the paperwork is up to date for the courts. They stupidly refered to my person's address being the same as the arresting address, he was banned from there by the family on arrest.

Thanks so much for your responses. Very welcome and so helpful as I try to navigate a thousand things I never, ever dreamed would be part of my life. It's all just so relentless and seemingly endless. Lee, my concern on the address is that it will be made public or appear in media, adding fuel to any community backlash and giving vigilantes the details.

Hi Tatters

I'm glad things are moving quickly for you.

My partner also had bail conditions that he was not allowed to come back to the family home. Iv never really understood why some people get this condition and others don't but anyway. He stayed at a family members house, this was the address that was read out in court and was unfortunately the address that was reported in the media.

I will say there was no negative outcomes at the address that was published in the media or at my address. Although it was a painful experience. I am very grateful that I didn't have to deal with negative behaviour from strangers.

I wish you the best of luck x
