CHARACTER REFERENCE (I think it's called that)

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all enjoying the heat and sunshine at the moment, although a bit too hot to work hey.
We're just looking at getting ready for what might come and I understand I can do a character reference for my person but I'm unsure what to include/not include. Is someone able to give me pointers please?
Also, my person wants to do an accountability letter to let the courts know how remorseful he is, what he's been doing since the knock, what he intends to do going forward but also acceptance of what he has done and what has led him here. Again, does anyone have any pointers please on what to include?
My person had childhood trauma that he never spoke of, and even now only his counsellor is fully aware of what happened, with me knowing bits and pieces (although very distraught person when giving me these bits and pieces)
we want to get everything right and try to avoid a custodial (I think he would quit before it got to a custodial if he was told it might be that :(.

Hi my oh got sentenced last week. We had 4 character references and his accountability statement.
keep refs short, no more than 1 side of a4, straight to the point. Start by saying who you are, relationship to person and how long you've known them.
if you search for references there are some good pointers on this forum.
show support which will help him not to reoffend, things he's done, therapy etc.
I did include a sentence that said I needed him to provide financially for us to pay our mortgage which wouldn't be possible if given a custodial, solicitor said it was very good.
don't get too emotional and don't say what sentence you think x

He got 4 months suspended, for iioc a-c, SOR AND SHPO for 7 years, all internet based x
