Hi,

so my partner was sentenced for all catagory images possession and distribution. The knock happened when I was around 20 weeks pregnant. He was living with me and was at the birth. He then had to leave the home when she was born and was allowed 2 hours twice a week by social services. He was sentenced in February and is due to be out the same time next year. Social services have basically said they don't want a sex offender in the home with our child and they are questioning my ability to protect her as well as thinking I will put the relationship before her. I am fully aware of potential risks. They're just making me feel like I'm a child. His probation and key worker believe that he is doing really well in prison and there is potential for him coming back home. It's just the social services.

just need a little advice on people going through the same situation xx

Sorry you haven't had any replies. The discussion and support board seems to have more people on.

We're a bit behind you, waiting on charges, but I do want my husband to come home.

If you search for posts on safety plans and safeguarding courses there is lots of info.

Do not let them bully you, I know from a lot of posts here it is possible to have your hubby back home, I hate how they judge us that we are not safeguarding our children just because we want to keep family together etc especially when the guys have did so much work on themselves and paid the price to move on. It will take time but it is possible but unfortunately it's a fight and you'll have to jump through many hoops. I have no children to my person so I've no idea how it goes but if you post and read posts in discussion and support there'll be more info, also I seen the family rights groups are invaluable
