My OH has been called in for a second interview, voluntary. The PO says he wants to discuss some of the chat content, which my OH insist is all fantasy. The PO told us during the ICPC that they had found "an extremely small number of images" during the forensic search of the phone.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Can he get in trouble for fantasy chat?..... as disgusting as it was, is it illegal?

My partner pretended to be young children in chat rooms as part of the fantasy. I have seen that others had people in their lives get charges I think for like intent (not sure on the wording) - and if the chat addresses real people (like children known to the offender) I believe that is an offense or at least very high risk for the authorities.

As said above have a solicitor, in theory the interview will be about what they have found and the evidence they will be submitting to CPS. Not sure but they might say what charges they are recommending/ expecting

Very much depends on the detail - If he was talking to a child then that is an offence. If he was taking to an adult I believe a key point is whether fantasy was mentioned in the chat.

If he stated it was fantasy or role play there is more of a defence but could still be charged potentially with obscene publication, depending on where he had the chat.

It all very much depends on what was discussed and with whom it was discussed with.

My person had a fantasy /role play chat.
