Does any one have advice/experience re employment while on bail
My person no longer lives in the family home and that road is now permanently closed, he is also unable to continue in his previous employment.
He is desperatley trying to find some kind of employment but is encountering the expected barriers.
Has anyones person had any success with getting employment, especially as he is under investingation and not actually charged or convicted yet.
His bail is likely to be extended for 2/3 months. He is currently living with his father but I get the impression the welcome is wearing thin.
How does he go about getting a job/place to live in the mean time?
Apparently housing say he has deliberatley made himself homeless.

My partner got a job while under investigation. He lost his job after the arrest but did get a job since while under investigation there is no requirement for disclosure - unless asked beforehand and some contracts might state disclosure.
So it is possible. My partner had a job that never required him to disclose, even after sentencing. They never found out. He even got a new job after sentencing as again no need to disclose.
He could maybe get support from the job centre, they might be able to find roles that are low risk of the need to disclose. Tho I recommend trying to find somewhere that may offer some sort of flexibility, like short notice leave. As my partner needed time off to attend court, he also needed to leave work early on days he had to meet the probation officer.
If he had to leave the house then I can't see how he can be deemed as made homeless himself. Tho I don't know the caveats.
My partner did get his own place after being with his dad while he was getting back on his feet. It was a sma flat but at least it was his own place.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is an SMA flat?
My oh lost his good job even prior to charges, but has managed to gain employment with a small company, no dbs, all men, enjoys it, decent pay. Pick jobs wisely but it can be done x
Thanks Jayjay,
My person is spiralling about money atm and he really needs to find something soon

the financial impact is huge for all of us I don't know how we are still going but we manage hanging on in there.

Sorry, it was a typo - meant to say small flat
My person was a stay at home dad when the knock came, so he had to leave the house immediately.
Whilst staying with his parents, got a job like a month after the knock. He did not disclosed anything, just went as normal.
Sadly, 9 months in the job the police told him he had to disclose or they would disclose, so got sacked. Ridiculous if you ask me, but that's what happened. No sentencing or anything yet they sacked him.
So yes, it can be done and maybe right now is the best time to do it as there is nothing on his record yet.

My partner finally agreed that it is the best time for him to get a job. In addition, he also agreed to get an education, so he could have a prestigious job in the future. We were looking for some information about colleges and professions that do not require long studying. He decided he wanted to become an HVAC technician. I know that the curriculum varies on the school’s program, and his high school education get together the requirements. Life seems to be getting better, although I still don't believe it. I think he may have trouble getting a job, but I don't want to think about the bad right now.
