I'm sorry, this may seem like a silly question..

my partner has been asked to come in for another interview but the police and the email/texts my partner has received from his solicitors have called it a "Re-Interview". I've seen people on here say their persons had second interviews or voluntary interviews. I was just wondering if this is the same thing or if a "Re-Interview" means something else?

again sorry if this seems like a silly question. I think it's more just the worry.

Hi! Thank you for replying xx

no, that's the way the police worded it on the phone too, they said it was a 're-interview' as they'd now downloaded all of the data from his phone and wanted to talk about the downloads that were found on it (which we already knew were there as they were found the day he was arrested)

I was just wondering as they made a point of wording it that way on the phone, text and emails, if it meant something different than just a regular second interview or voluntary interview as I've not seen anyone on here refer to it as a 're-interview'.

I think it's a second interview about the evidence they found but just using different wording so nothing to worry about just make sure his solicitor is with him x

No question is silly on here.
I might be wrong but I think it will mean the same thing, as in re-interviewed - interviewed again - second interview. Sure someone will be able to confirm.

make sure he takes a solicitor in with him. my oh was called in for second interview once devices checked, that when they told him how many iioc and what categories. Case was then sent to CPS, 5 weeks later received charges with a court date to attend magistrates for 9 weeks after that.
As scary as it is, the end is in sight for this part of the journey and you can start to live your new normal whatever that may be x

Hi all. Thank you for your replies. It does make me feel slightly better knowing that it should be just a second invteriew, which it seems like a lot of people have judging by what I've read on this forum.

I think it's just the worry and anxiety that's making me think on overdrive. We know my partner had iioc on his phone as these were found during the warrant. However, partner was told by solicitor the polices initial opinion were that these would be Cat C but we didn't get informed about how many. I think in my head I always knew eventually they would end up finding Cat A once they got all the data and could see what had previously been downloaded on the phone but I was hoping for the best outcome. I'm assuming the reason they've called him in to discuss the downloaded material on the device is because they have found worse things such as Cat A. Still trying to be positive but it feels like the wound has now been reopened and I'm back in limbo. Just want it all to be over.

Thank you Daffodil x

we are trying to stay positive. Hoping for the best outcome but preparing for the worst. It's even more of a worry as his solicitor is on annual leave so he's been given a completely different solicitor to come and be with him for the interview, someone who he's never spoken to or explained any or his side or the story to!

His interview is tomorrow so feeling extremely anxious today. Hoping things will be alright.

So an update.

We didn't receive good news.
18A, 30B, 25C. 73 all together

Police said they've now passed over to CPS. Said it usually takes 28 days but because of there being a big backlog it will likely take longer.

I'm absolutely devastated.

So sorry you've had a bad day. I think it's a shock initially when hearing 'Cat A' and the number. I tried to look at it logically that I knew it was coming and the only thing we didn't know was the number of iioc, and the 2nd interview was just clarification.
Please try not to worry too much it is still a reasonably low number but start to put a reference together, him an accountability statement, what work has he been doing - therapy, courses, reading etc. get him to write a list and keep a record of everything he's doing as this will go in his favour at sentencing x
