Hi,

Firstly I'd just like to say a huge thankyou for this forum, I feel its the only thing getting me through the night some nights.

Secondly, I'm just not sleeping at the moment due to over thinking this whole horrible situation. Does anyone know if the doctor would be able to help? I've been getting an average of two hours a night, last night I didn't sleep at all. Can I request sleeping tablets from a doctor? I'm just so exhausted, and I honestly don't think being exhausted all the time is helping me cope.

Definitely talk to your GP, being sleep deprived really makes everything more difficult.

If you have trouble getting an appointment, or your GP won't give you sleep tablets, you can try Nytol. You need the blue one not the herbal one, but most pharmacies stock them, Lloyds Chemist do their own brand that is cheaper. It's an antihistamine.

I struggled sleeping for months due to work stress and nytol was a game changer for me.

Hi,

I bought phenergan which is over the counter and a antihistamine but also used short term to help you sleep.
It has been a lifesaver and I don't take it every night just when I am struggling and to break the pattern.
