Blossom, your experience sounds so like mine. We were put on a CPP, I have since been told that I was seen as "minimising" because I was focusing too much on my husbands recovery not just the cause of his offending but also substance abuse.

All along I have been trying to get SS to understand that I am trying to not just protect my kids from the potential threat of my husband but also protect their emotional well-being and potential trauma leading to future mental illness. I have made it perfectly clear that i do not want my children being told anything. Apparently that causes them concern.

Me being rational causes concern. Me thinking of my husbands problems from a mental health perspective rather than the black & white / good & evil perspective causes them concern.

In one breath they tell me that this is voluntary and that they can't tell me who I can be married to, the next they are telling me that they have considered legal proceedings against me.

At our next conference I'm just gonna play the game, speak about my kids only and not my husband. I think it's the only way forward.
