My heart goes out to you and I can't imagine what you're going through with your son. My friend from school went through this, picked on and cast out back then I took her u der my wing, she didn't get properly diagnosed with autism until she was 25. 25 like not good enough because it's quite obvious. She's such a lovely person that can't understand or struggles to communicate or understand certain things. It's a constant fight for you and you're so strong you come on here to help others with valuable advise I spite of going through so much yourself. Give your self a break for a while. Do something for YOU and take time out for yourself. Do something you enjoy. And try to put this out of your head space, even for a few days or you're gonna burn out. I've started doing this and as it's always on my mind, I find a little time for me (juat reading a book doing shopping, hvjng lu ch with friends, a long walk wor drive etc really helps. I'm here if you need me rant away xx

Hi Daffodil

I can fully understand where you are coming from with your post. I am not sure if I can offer any useful advice or help you in anyway as from all your previous posts it is very apparant that you have tried all avenues and very much do your very best to get your son the support and help he deserves. You are also a support to everyone on this forum.

Just a thought, have you tried quoting the mencap definition in all written correspondence when you are trying to get support for your son? Have you spoken with mencap about all the avenues you have tried to get support for your son?

I am thinking of you and I really hope you are still making time for you, so that you can stay as well as possible with everything that is going on.

If I think of anything else that may be of help to you, I will post again.

Take care x

Hi Daffodil

How are you doing? Hopefully not had too much coffee!

I just had another thought have you spoke to MENCAP charity about his score of 74 and what they may expect the support to be with someone who has this score? Also if you do not mind me asking did he go to a special needs school whilst he was in education? This would also support his case as you continue to battle on to get the right support he deserves.

I don't know anything about this scoring system but have you seen a breakdown of it and how they arrived at the score of 74. Could this score be challeged in anyway as he is so close to the cut off point of 70?

Thinking of you x
