The police can't give much information as if the offender is over 18 it could potentially break confidentiality. When my partner was arrested they told me that "We found something on his phone that matched our intelligence" wouldn't say anything more than that. I had to wait the entire day for him to be released after his questioning to ask him what the hell was going on, to which he told me they'd found pictures on his phone but the police weren't allowed to tell me anything.

Easier said than done but try not to worry. The Police are a bunch of prats and love to make something of nothing. I was told my partner was viewing iioc and all sorts of stuff and it all turned out to be lies. Whatever they say, take it with a pinch of salt, they shouldn't be saying anything anyways but they loves to stir the pot between partners and get their little kick out of isolating potential offenders. My partner had the knock as a post in a forum was reported a year beforehand, it can take that long for the police to action it. I can only assume they did a bit more digging to get his whereabouts and be certain it was worth of an arrest.

Unfortunately you will not get much info out of the police, especially if it is only a month into the investigation.
