Hi can anyone give me a rough guess how much the solicitors will cost . Partner finally god a job now he didn't qualify for legal aid (he hasn't even started the job yet) but they want £500 for him plea hearing next week . But how much after this. Were broke . The cars broken needing fixed . It's bad news everyday

It really varies. But he should be able to ask for a quote now so you have some idea.
I believe representation at sentencing was around £1200 for us.

Thank you so if it's £500 for the plea hearing . Then we're looking at £500 for magistrates/crown . So basicly is it only the 2 costs / 3 xx

Your partner needs to talk to his solicitor and the solicitor really needs to step up.

The draft shpo can be challenged, but the barrister needs to do it in court on the day. We challenged ours and got internet only restrictions.

if your husband isn't attracted then he definitely shouldn't say he is, this will always be on record and can never be taken back.

he needs a letter from any courses he's done, letter from his therapist, accountability letter. You need to do a character reference letter for him

the psr is after the plea and before sentencing, they won't talk to you. Your husbands solicitor can send all the above info to probation so they have it for their letter.

the solicitor is being paid to act on your behalf, you need to push for them to step up and do their job. If you feel that they aren't you need to find a new one, we got a new one just before plea hearing. We had to pay for the plea and got legal aid for sentencing.

Yes I will thank you . Always seems like there unavailable to call or email back and things . So hard to get chance to talk anything through with the kids always here . I can't go along to anything because of the children and to be honest I don't really want to . I will have a talk through tomorrow and get the full story . He said the solicitor seemed okay last time and he's done many of these cases so we'll see . Xx
