My Son

so many of you know my story, just an update on my son
Remand was awful, he self harmed, plenty of sleepless nights , he had been in a SO prison for the last 4 months and has his own cell, he has come so far as we thought he would not be here as he wanted to take his own life:-( but he is here so I am very grateful, we have a long Road ahead but he is ok, we visit at least 2 times a month, we have video calls and he phones a few times a week but the most important part is he is ok,
I never imagined my life as this at my age I thought it would be different
So long as he is ok so am I xx

We travel on this journey together Upset as our circumstances are so similar. I'm glad my son is housed in a SO training prison and not in a general prison.
I too am settled when I know everything is on track for him, he is safe and he has everything he needs - happiness at the moment is a warm duvet received today on his 'canteen'!!!!!
I sadly haven't seen him for two years, but that time will come, it is where we are for now and we talk most days.
Im so happy that your son is coping - he'll be on 'enhanced' status before you know it!!!!!

When the time is right for you both you will get to hug him x

Excellent, enhanced comes with more privileges. I think as my son has been moved around so much it's took time.
Safety always worried me, but on the whole the inmates respect and help each other, of course there's scuffles and flare ups - it's still a prison!
It's difficult, but you deal with it day by day. I do miss him dreadfully but we're doing the best we can in a horrible situation......
