Unable to access device
Notifications OFF
Hi,
Has anyone been in the position whereby the police have been unable to access their persons device? In terms of what happens next when all avenues have been exhausted (except section 49). Has anyone's person had a section 49 issued?
I would be grateful you could only respond if you have experience of this/had this happen to your person, rather than comments on your view on what might or might not happen
Thanks in advance

Hi Confused. I dont know anything about a section 49, my Son had an old phone a BlackBerry that had been broken for years they could not access it so they said with my permission that they would destroy it. I know there were no images etc on that phone. I just agreed and said destroy it. Hope someone can help with your question. X
Thank you that's really helpful.
They have asked for his permission to destroy it but after everything that's happened I doubt and don't trust a word.
Thank you. I hope you are OK xx
