Hi again. So my Son has Magistrates Court in a few weeks, I have spoken to the clerk at the solicitors, he said that there's no point in meeting with my Son's solicitor until the day of court as that's when they see the evidence, is this correct? What should I do to prepare it's his first hearing just under 1000 images altogether in all categories plus 28 videos, 25 in Cat A, also charged with making. He is very anxious and is terrified about going to Prison but I know that's out of my hands.

Omg I totally agree with Lee. We waited nearly a year from charges to getting evidence. Could be because we Co tested 2 charges one in which we got changed so worth the wait because the grooming charge they gave him would have got him sent down and after reading evidence myself was totally not true.. His barrister chased it all up, she has been brilliant, we have plea on Monday via zoom. Do not even thi k about going to court for plea with out the barrister and solicitor have went through it, we also went through it ourselves and out our own points across which we've been told is very helpful x

Wished I had known this at the time of my Oh arrest. He had new charges brought up during his sentence hearing and was advised to plead guilty as solicitor said would not bring any more sentence. Unfortunately this was not true and my OH never saw the 'evidence' from the police & got a longer sentence. Because of the crime and some charges he was guilty of he did not want to complain. I find this hard to let go but OH does not want to pursue this. So at least you have the change to check the evidence.

Ladies thanks so much, I thought it didnt sound right so I am glad that I asked you. I will be on the phone to them first thing Monday Morning and if they are still saying the same I will find another solicitor, will check back in on Monday and let you know. The duty solicitor who was there on the day of my son's arrest is very much on the ball, he is from the same firm I will call him first to see what he says. Imagine the people who haven't got any support and take the solicitors advice as Gospel it's so messed up and stressful.

Lee I think this is your calling, you would make a great solicitor....just putting it out there. Thanks all I am so grateful for the women on here. X
