Just wanted to check. I know if I had an enhanced dbs check done it would probably flag up about what's going on with my husband but is this the same for our children?

my daughter is enrolling in 6th form/college and as she wants to work in a early year setting they'll do an enhanced dbs check on her and I'm dreading if this comes up. She's already struggling coming to terms with all of this I really don't want her future to be marked with it as well.

Yes he does. It's bad enough that it will show on mine let alone my daughter's. She's only 15 and has nothing to do with any of this bless her. Who do I contact to find out do you know?

I think it's your local police station honey, don't back down, it eea3should show up on yours either you've done nothing wrong it's so unfair. If me and my person work out after all this, we've agreed to live apart until off the sor for this very reason. How do they expect people to rehabilitate if they are punishing their support networks too? Its messed up. Hope you get it sorted x

Newlady, you are right, it is so messed up, it really sucks. The punishment for many, that goes on so long after the punishment in the sentence, whether it's SOR restrictions, SHPO restrictions, other peoples restrictions (social Work, school, and even ones imposed by family members) is so extreme and in many cases disproportionate to the crime, and then they way that family members are punished too is really unfair. And the only available remedy for family is to visibly cut ties with the offender, which is a double hit to them and not conducive to rehabilitation.

Sorry I am in angry mode today.

Don't worry I'm right there with you.my person went down straight after court on Monday and signed sor, they hvnt even got his shoo done yet, yeah he's that much of a danger!!!!! Anyway I'm not condoning what he did, no way, but uts really all bowen out if proportion sometimes. Drug dealers around the corner from me, all sorts going on yet social services don't go near them, but if I dare bring my person to my house with my 15 year old the lots of us will be punished. Like how???? Beggers belief really. My daughter is 16 early next year so I'm hoping his shpo says under 6, but then again, they'll probably ring ss anyway

Thank you I'll get in touch with them. He hasn't been convicted yet but we've been told cps have agreed for charge and apparently it should stay in magistrates as all images are low level (although I don't believe a word oic says). She'll be devastated if she can't do her course as she's always wanted to do this career since she was in primary school. We shouldn't be punished, we've been punished enough.

Your right keep fight girl! My daughter is the same age and wants to do the same thing hence us not living together, it will impact my career as a nurse too but my boss said its none of anyone's business but mine and I've did nothing wrong, I don't work with babies or kids. We hvnt kids together so it's a lot easier to live apart than most. If I'm honest I'm used to my own space now even though I'm skint lol let us know how it goes x

Unfortunately it most likely will under advisory or other info if he's living at same address, and it's so bloody unfair, but you can appeal against it. Maybe contact unlock charity for some advice x
