It seems so unfair. A young student lass was sexually assaulted in our town as she walked home after a night out.
The chap received a short custodial sentence - a lot less than my son. This sentencing just seems crazy to me at times!!!!
I know we fight against making judgments and this fella has a family too but it just seems as though their are no sentence guidelines and the judges make them up as they go along!

I still find myself Googling my person's offence and comparing the outcome to my person. Most cases have more than one charge - Communication and images, yet most get far less than my person.
I don't know what the answer is but it doesn't seem right that such life changing things are such a lottery, but then I imagine the same applies to other big systems such as the NHS.
