Hi

Does anyone know what address is given in court proceedings for the defendant? Is it address they were living at the time of the crime, the address they're living at when charged or the address they're living at the time of the court case?

Thanks

For my husband, it was the address where he was living at the time of the court hearing. He was charged straight away, so it was our home address for the magistrates hearing. His next hearing at crown, the address used was the address he was then living at. But he had asked his solicitor about the address as I'd asked that it not be ours as we have kids. So I'm not sure if that was automatically updated and something that was requested.

My partner was asked to state his current address which was his parents.
they said on 'this date' at an address in 'named town' an offence took place, but not exact part or address x

I didn't realise they state where the offence took place. For my husband, it was at work. Different town to where we live. Hope that part doesn't end up in the media. He still has his job currently as he told them some story. (He was arrested at work, he doesn't have to tell them abut his conviction).
