Some good news for a change

Bitterbean,
That is reassuring and I'm glad it went well for you! I agree, it shouldn't make any difference whether you remain with your partner or not. I'm currently studying for a career change but I know full well if my partner gets convicted then I probably won't be able to pursue it if I stay with him so there's a lot to think about. It's more to do with reputation and stigma than actual risks and that's unfair because it wouldn't be the case if it was perhaps someone with a very violent criminal history, nobody would know or bat an eyelid. Xx

Thank you Baffled and Smile
The irony of course is that none of us partners or family members should be having to suffer any detriment like this as a result of our partner's/another family member's actions. It should be a given that we have the same rights and are treated with the same dignity and respect, as any other non offending person.

Your so right Bitterbean - it's all so unfair, how us the innocent are tarnished.
