Is there anything probation will do or say for a pre-sentence report to try and trick the person to say something that will give them a reason to assess as a higher risk level? Or give them reason to say they don't seem remorseful etc? I am paranoid at the end of the day probation won't truly care and will want to see people locked up for as long as they can for crimes like this. This worry was sparked after reading an article in the news and it said "The judge added: "You do not regard yourself as a paedophile". He explained this can happen with some offenders of this nature, adding: "Some people struggle to accept the type of person their offending makes them"." I can't believe a judge could say the P word in a court and use it like that! Made me feel like the judge was trying to get the person to agree so they could sentence them as a higher risk level? Not sure! My mind is boggling and solicitor hasn't told us what actually happens during an assessment only that they will ask OH about what he did and why he thinks he did it. I just want the best possible outcome, for them to assess him as low risk as possible but the idiot always says the wrong things and he doesn't know how to prepare for it

Thank you, I have told him to just be honest and open and that it will hopefully all be ok. On the one hand I worry they will see him as a monster but on the other know it's not rational for the government to be able to hand out the longest possible sentence to every single offender, they can't afford to, so there is hope yet
