I don’t know for sure but I hope not. I need a dbs for my job and it came back fine. Even though the offence took place in the property. It’s not been to court yet though. But I think you will be fine.

I can’t believe the timescale post knock and conviction time that is way too long and by this point your husband has probably sought help what solution will a sentence bring. I wish things were resolved in a more timely way xxx

good luck in your new job too. It’s a new start xxx

If its a standard dbs then no because that will only relate to you. But I think an enhanced dbs might give other information if it is relevant to the job you are applying for.

Hey lily,

Looking at plenty of information it shouldn't even show on an enhanced DBS check unless the local police force feel it is necessary for it to be disclosed- this is generally only if you are working with children or vulnerable adults and even still it is about him not you at that point so I would say if offered a job maybe talk to the hiring manager or the hr team before the dbs is done x

I volunteer with children and vulnerable adults. I have a clean DBS, it's about you not about anyone else. The only way his conviction would matter is if you were to join the police force.

Hi lily. There used to be the disqualification by association but that stopped in Sept I think so I would imagine the DBS would only relate to you. My husband was convicted 2 months ago after nearly 2 years post knock so I'm not that far behind you. Can I ask your situation please? Do you have children? How did SS deal with your husband still living with you? X
