I know this has been covered a few times but we have just got new car insurance. Churchill online stated non motoring convictions, but when we got the policy documents in the post it states.....tell us about changes......you must tell us if you or any driver have any claims or convictions that you havent already told us about.

They did not ask when we took the poicy out last week!

Has anyone clarified this with churchill? Thanks

Thank you for posting on the Family and Friends forum, we understand that it is not easy to post on a forum about these difficult situations. I can see that you have not yet had a reply on your post, hopefully someone else in a similar situation can reply soon with some support.

If you haven't already done so, I would also encourage you to contact our Stop it Now! helpline. The helpline is anonymous, confidential and free, on 0808 1000 900. One of our trained advisors will then be able to explore your situation in detail and provide some support and do their best to answer your questions. Our trained advisors deal with similar concerns to yours every day, and will be able to talk these through with you and offer you the best advice we can.

I hope this has been helpful.

Take care,

Lucy

It's a bit of a sticky one to advise on as I wouldn't want to be responsible but I would assume from "claims and convictions" that it directly relates to driving offences. No harm in calling Churchill and asking if that's what they meant without divulging.

Going forward, I got my insurance from Direct Line and they never asked questions about anything not related to driving offences and I remember Lee mentioned LV too.

Hope you managed to get sorted xx

Thank you Baffledb. The wording in the booklet was, since your quote is there any claims or convictions you have not told us about. The quote only asks for motoring convictions , so we are going with that.

I was previously with LV and been with them for years. But they ask for a declaration if anyone is living with you needs to be declared even though its car insurance. X
