I just wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone that has replied to my posts the last few months. Although I haven't got my oh home at the moment due to ss still involved he was given a suspended sentence and community order. This part of our horrible journey is finally over now on to the next part that hopefully is better than the last 18 months

So pleased for the update

As hard as this journey is you have been through so much

I am pleased he received a suspended sentence

Time to adjust and rebuild a new normal way of living

I hope SS look at this in a positive way

That's good to hear he got a suspended sentence. My husband has his sentencing on Friday.

Ss will take time and patience but hopefully you'll get there. I'd love to have unsupervised access for my kids eventually even though husband won't be coming home.

Scaredandconfused I am so happy for you. This is what I wish for, we're not that far down the road yet. I know it's not ideal but a lot better than it could have been.
I hope SS work well with you so that you can move on as a family now.
Sending all my love xxx

ScaredandConfused - Can I please ask what he was charged with? My partner has been charged today and I have no idea if he's likely to get a prison sentence or suspended or what.

I'm so very happy for you, what a relief!!!

I'm also glad SS is working towards bringing your OH home, that's a massive step forward.

Well done <3

WorseThanAnyNightmare, have your OH lawyer up yet? As soon as charges are there, it's imperative he gets a lawyer that can guide him in sentencing expectations.

It will still be decided in court though , but the worse is not knowing what to expect.

Big hugs x

Green, thanks for your reply to me. He's contacting a Solicitor immediately. Don't know if he will get Legal Aid or not as he did have a good job before this, but since then lost his job and we have very little savings, and he's on JSA.

Scaredandconfused - that's for the info. Did it all go through Magistrates? Did your person plead guilty at the hearing?

He had plea at magistrates his solicitor said she wanted it to go crown because sentencing at magistrates isn't any good they aren't prepared for big cases like that. Sentencing at crown. He admitted from the start then went straight with guilty
