Good morning everyone,

Me ex-partner & father of my children has magistrate tomorrow. Can I please just ask some advice?

His solicitor (who he is paying huge amounts for) has said he should have no family in the court...is this right? Surely having family members present shows he has some support? Secondly, how long normally after magistrate is the crown date? Just dreading it being Christmas week & having to tell the children the worst outcome (if applicable). Feeling really sad for them this morning.

I hope everyone else is coping OK, thanks for reading.

Hiya.

Family can go if they want to I was meant to be going magistrates but I had no childcare so I stayed home. Solicitor asked my oh if I was going.

As for crown my oh was 4 weeks after magistrates he was there yesterday. His solicitor said we we're lucky because most cases for this in our area had been postponed until after Christmas. So I think from roughly reading on here most are 4 weeks after so hopefully you will get a normal ish Christmas together x

Hi,

I am a little worried that there would be journalists taking pictures?

I have seen pictures in the newspaper in the past of offenders with their wives/girlfriends walking to court. I can't remember if the faces were blurred out, but for this reason I won't go to court if my husband is charged xx
