Good News! - There is hope

I wanted to share this as there doesn't seem to be a lot of posts on here that end with good news.
We got the knock at the end of September this year in the early hours of the morning. My partner came to wake me up as the police were at the door, my first thought was 'oh my god, we've been robbed!'. Made my way into the living room where there was easily 5+ officers, and it was explained that iioc was uploaded from our IP address 2 and a half years earlier. My partner and I were in complete shock, and had a 4 month old baby to think of. All devices seized, home searched from top to bottom, partner arrested on suspicion of the offence. I couldn't believe it, it was easily the worst day of my life. I felt violated with the search, them going through our personal things, our memories, my babys room, i felt sick.
My partner maintained his innocence the whole time but Social services got involved, OH wasn't allowed unsupervised contact with under 18s or back in the family home so had to stay elsewhere. I got told it would take a month to go through the devices, then 4 months, then another 4-5 months. All the time we were working to get husband back home, but I always made my baby the priority, always stressed that my baby's safety came first. Due to this, SS felt that i was protective factor. So last week we had a meeting with SS to see if OH could come home as I made it clear I would work with a safety plan.
On monday we got the go ahead SS, i then got a call to collect the rest of the devices. Once i arrived at the station, I was asking questions surrounding bail when the detective told me that its all over! I couldn't believe it, was expecting another 5 or so months of this. He told me there is insufficient evidence, that nothing was found on any of our devices (which we'd owned since before the offence).
I just got the letter through today, NFA. Still feels surreal. Officer explained it definitely came through our IP address, but we had two individuals staying with us at the time of the upload and so thats our only guess as to who has done it.
I'm glad to be out the other side of it all, and wanted to share this for those other members whose people maintained innocence as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of it on here. It's a horrible situation to be in, feels never ending but you'll come out the other side of it

I'm so relieved for you. It's terrible that you had to go through this when there was no foundation for it. I'm sure the trauma will stay with you, but enjoy your Christmas and look forward to a fresh new year. xxxx
