Hi

Unfortunately my husband lost his job after he told his current employer about his conviction. Just wondering if others have been in a similar situation and if they managed to find work?

Hi Andrea, that's really reassuring to know thank you. Hes joined a few agencies but some online ones ask for bank details which I think are a bit suspicious. I'm glad your husband found something. I've been having a few good days lately but then this happened which again has set us back. He needs to earn money to be able to pay towards the bills as my outgoings are more than my incoming and that's claiming universal credits too. X

Yep. My husband lost his job after his arrest as he was a nurse. He got a job after his release as a labourer. Someone found out about his conviction as you don't need to disclose it if you aren't asked. He was dismissed over the phone and didnt get paid. No labouring companies will take him on as word gets round. We live rurally so several small towns but no suitable vacancies. It sucks.
