I’m so sorry for all the posts, I’m having regular wobbles as it’s getting so close to sentencing and I’m finding the solicitor very unhelpful. If the press are there do they take up the space in the viewing bit? The solicitor said it’s a small public seating area and I don’t know how it works if it’s first come first serve for seating. Is it normally just one reporter or do multiple reporters go to these things as they work for different companies? Do they take pics of the defendants family on the way in or out?

At ours there were about 8 seats a really small sitting area. I was only one in there but the person before us had loads coming out I don't know how they all fitted in they also had 3 reporters come out just before the end. There is also a online camera that reporter's can sit and watch from in the office. They said at the start no recording or photos inside but solicitor said they are allowed to take photos outside of court so they can wait

8 seats is not many at all, I hadn’t even thought about the fact we would be waiting for the last people in there to come out before we go in. My OH will be going back to prison as he is on remand, but can reporters take pics of me and his parents?

This is what I worry about the reporters waiting outside to take photos. I wonder how long they hang around for, if there's anywhere you can wait for them to move on.

I so desperately want my OH to avoid being in the media to protect my children!!

In the time I spent search outcomes and cases on the Internet I've only once seen photos of anyone but the offender and this is because they were forming a shield around them so I think it's unlikely. You could always hang around before and after in the court area before you leave if you are still nervous, but I think it's quite unlikely. I do understand your concern, it was one of the reason I didn't go to court (there were others which are just personal and related to the distance of the court from my home).

I think you should be fine. Like I said they won't know who your with. We had planned to go out separately but ended up going together no photos taken although he has ended up in a paper but no photos of him
