The knock please help

Hi , i hope whoever reads this is well and coping as best they can .
My person was arrested this summer over an event on Snapchat in which one conversation took place 3 weeks before the knock.
Im just wondering how long it took the police to knock from when the offence took place in your persons case?
Is 3 weeks a long time for the police to attend an address after a conversation with a decoy takes place ?
Any help would be most appreciated as our persons offence / arrest is taking a significant toll on us as a family :( . We are due to be given a court date in a few months time.
thankyou so much

There was a few weeks delay in my person's case. If it was a decoy, as it was with my person, my hunch is they hold out in the hope the conversation will progress /restart so they have more evidence and potentially be in a position to charge a more severe charge. It could also be thet have to wait to get hold of the address from the various organisations.
Nearly 12 months from my oh being reported to the knock
Ours was from 26th Sept to 10th November. Also one off conversation with a police decoy. I was surprised as would have though they'd act straight away in case there was a risk of something happening to a real person!
It's relatively normal. My husbands conversation was mid jan/beginning of Feb and we got the knock on 4th March.
It then took until 29th October for him to be sentenced, but from reading many more posts on here I think his case was fairly quick, some cases can go on for months and months.

It isn't really a delay, there are multiple factors you have to consider.
-when the police get the intel
-when they are able to apply for a warrant
-when the police have enough evidence to get a warrant
they are arresting over 800/1000 men a month for this, there are so many cases and the workloads so large that the police cannot act in every case straight away. So in some areas arrests happen quickly and in others they don't.
I wouldn't personally read into how long the arrest was from the offence-until it comes to charges.
for example publish an obscene article has a statute of limitations of 2 years.
accessing iioc or talking to a 'child/decoy' does not have a statute of limitations.

My partner was flagged for his part in a forum, took a year for his arrest. Not sure if it was deemed communication as such. He was catfishing as younger people on this forum and I think wasnt talking to people claiming to be underage. It seems it can take the police a long time to action an arrest, especially if they were not the decoys involved.
Hi ,
Thankyou for your support , do you know whether or not social media accounts etc would be accessed before seizing devices or do they all happen simultaneously?
thankyou alot
